Chinatown Food Street Blast to the past with heritage bowls
The 50c Food Fest, part of the annual Singapore Food Festival, was held at Chinatown Food Street on the 30th and 31st of July 2016. The event drew a massive crowd of over 200,000 people over the course of one weekend.
We were tasked with providing disposable packaging for the event, in which 50c portions of iconic local favourites would be served up by more than 20 stalls. The result is a palm size paper bowl with an iconic pingpong design print, inspired by the popular porcelain ware of the 1950s.
We were pleasantly surprised to see so many beautiful shots of it on social media and are humbled by the overwhelming response for the event.
