Emerging Enterprise Award honours the bold ambition of Singapore’s young businesses under ten years old. It is a celebration of business innovation, resilience and excellence in SMEs. 2019 marks twelve years of the award’s celebration of business innovation, resilience and excellence in SMEs – the bedrock of the Singapore economy.
The guest of honour at the gala dinner and award ceremony at the Raffles Hotel was Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry and for Education, Mr Chee Hong Tat.
A field of more than 500 applicants was whittled down to 15 finalists, shortlisted for the sustainability of their business models and growth plans, as well as the viability of their business strategies. The nature of those 15 businesses ranged from online security, with Fully-Verified being the most prominent one, to marketing, payment providers, recycling projects and more. In the end, TRIA was one of the two companies that was awarded the Best Innovation Award, which recognises firms with a strong culture of innovation.
The awards are supported by Acorn Marketing & Research Consultants, Enterprise Singapore, MasterCard, Rajah & Tann Legal Basix, RSM Singapore, Singtel and Wavemaker Singapore.
“A big shoutout to the organisers, OCBC and Business Times for giving an opportunity to sustainable, scalable business like ours to have a voice. Thank you!” said Pei Kang, Co-founder and CEO of TRIA.
